Question about fevers?

My niece has a Pit Bull/Terrier mix. The dog is just a little over a year old.

She will stop eating, becomes very lethargic and mopes. When my niece takes her to the Vet, they discover she has a very high fever. They run all blood tests, stool samples, urinalysis and they come back negative.

They put her on an antibiotic and in a few days she is back to normal. However, this has happened now, several times.

The Vet is inquiring at UC Davis - because they cannot find the cause for the malady.

Has anyone else experienced anything like this?

Take a look at some of these and see if any of the symptoms match your pups. Check with your vet and see if he tested for any of these to ensure he screened all possibilities.

Thanks so much for the link. It is excellent. We still don't know what is causing the fevers. My niece is waiting to hear from UC Davis.
