My dad sent me these pictures today. Pretty neat.
These people were his grandparents, and my dad is 82.
I love history like this. I also love that mustache and that car!![]()

"We give dogs the time we can spare, the space we can spare and the love we can spare. And in return, dogs give us their all. It's the best deal man has ever made" - M. Facklam
"We are raised to honor all the wrong explorers and discoverers - thieves planting flags, murderers carrying crosses. Let us at last praise the colonizers of dreams."- P.S. Beagle
"All that is gold does not glitter, Not all those who wander are lost; The old that is strong does not wither, Deep roots are not reached by the frost. From the ashes a fire shall be woken, A light from the shadows shall spring; Renewed shall be blade that was broken, The crownless again shall be king." - J.R.R. Tolkien
Those are definetely very cool, its funny people didn't smile much for pictures back then. You can tell by the pics there life was a lot harder than ours.
don't breed or buy while shelter dogs die....
I have been frosted!
Thanks Kfamr for the signature!
Wow isn't that something? The second shot almost reminds me of that scene in "It's a Wonderful Life," where Jimmy Stewart and his wife are welcoming a new family to their own home.
.
Wow, those are very cool. It is great/amazing that film was available back then, and that the pics are still around. My parents have some very old ones like that too...and it is just so interesting to look into the past and see them, I agree.
My parents have an old antique table that was made by a very distant relative of my dad's, not sure of the relation to him, distant uncle, etc....and we have a picture of the man and his wife, who actually made the table....so that is very cool too.
What neat pictures, real treasures for you, I know.
I love seeing old pics! That mustache is really something, isn't it? I've always liked looking at the old pics and have even bought some at antique stores. Nice to be seeing you around again, too![]()

I did the right thing by setting you free
But the pain is very deep.
If only I could turn back time, forever, you I'd keep.
I miss you
I hear you whimper in your sleep
I gently pet you and say, no bad dreams
It will be alright, to my dog as dark as night.
Fur as dark as the night.
Join me on this flight.
Paws of love that follow me.
In my heart you'll forever be.

How I wish I could hold you near.
Turn back time to make it so.
Hug you close and never let go.
