Lump on side of face

ice my collie has a lump come up for 2nd time on face about 1 inch below left eye , it came up about 3 wks ago but went down again , same day . This time it was there for the whole day , gone down a bit this am , left eye a bit watery at times too , eating ok , fine in herself too , vets will check it today if its not gone down completely .

vet thinks its a deep root infection , or something else going on so shes to have an x ray on tuesday . if an infection will maybe need to remove the tooth . we will see how it goes & what he finds . now on antibiotics / rimadyl until monday pm

So the vet thinks that lmp is from a tooth ache? Ouch poor sweetie! Hope the antibiotics help calm it down. Best wishes with the xray. If it IS a tooth, can they also do the extraction while she is under anesthesia for the xray? I try to cut down on the number of times they have to go under, just a thought!

yes, if it is an infected tooth root they will extract it then , straight after x ray .

well ice lost 1 back tooth & 2 front teeth , back tooth was an infected root , teeth cleaned too , but weren't too bad , she still has the lump on her face though .To go back for a check on friday , kavik will be castrated on friday also , poor boy

Wow I've never seen an infection like that!! Ah well, what's a few loss teeth? Giselle's probably going to lose two molars in a year or so. Once periondontitis starts, it never really ends *sigh*

Also, what happened with Kavik?? I thought you were going to show/breed him!

Giselle kavik still has a retained testicle so decided to get him neutered as 1 yr old now

I hope that Ice is feeling better soon, and that Kavik will recover quickly from his snip. It's no fun having dogs that don't feel well during the holidays.
