Two little cats and one little dog! Video clip

Merry Christmas everyone! We are taking care of my sister in laws dog, a little Pomeranian cross, for a few weeks while they are away. This little dog has such character and she has been through alot. Unfortunately they choose to have her sleep outside when at home and they live in a rather coyote infested area. A coyote actually picked this dog up in it's mouth and then dropped it when my sister in law ran towards it and then Dizzy (the little dog) ran after the coyote barking wildly and the coyote picked her up again!!! Thankfully it dropped it her a second time which was a miracle. I have made lots of suggestions about different ways they could make Dizzy safer, the best way of course being indoors!!
They have since built her a fenced in area and we are working on getting them to keep her inside. I guess the main issue was that she would piddle occasionally in the house.
Our original plan was to keep her out in our garage at night and in the house during the day for the few weeks she was with us because we were concerned she might pee in the house but we just couldn't do it. When it came time to take her out to the garage on the first night we took one look at those sweet little eyes and there was no way!!!
So, she sleeps in a crate with a soft bed inside right next to the fireplace cozy as a bug in a rug and then first thing in the morning she comes out and stays out until we're all ready for bed. She gets about 10 walkies a day and she's been so good at letting us know when she has to go out to do her business. We're planning to have her 'piddle' free by the time we return her and we hope, hope, hope they will begin to keep her inside, even if it's in a crate at night, at least she will be warm and safe.
Anyway, here is a cute video of our two cats Tiny and Teenie meeting Dizzy for the first time. Tiny seems head over heels for this little dog!

What an adorable video. It sounds like she's doing very well in your household and hopefully your SIL will keep on doing what you're doing so that Dizzy will be able to be kept indoors.

Great video! Your kitties and Dizzy appear to be getting along quite well, they're so cute together it must be fun watching them. I'm sure Dizzy really appreciates your keeping him inside where he's warm, snug and safe. Do your kitties share his sleeping crate with him? Could I ask you to deliver lots of scritchies and lovies to Teenie, Tiny and Dizzy?

Happy holidays and our very best wishes for 2008!!!!!

We dug the crate out of our garage for Dizzy, we have them stored in there until our next house move. The cats all sleep upstairs and have their 'sleeping quarters' full of cat trees and soft beds all over the place. LOL My husband is always asking "how many beds do they need?!?" he thinks one per cat is enough but I try to explain that they need to have multiple options and may not want the same bed that they had the night before!
Tiny and Teenie have only visited with Dizzy just the one time yesterday for about 10 minutes. We'll bring them down again tonight for another visit. We tried some of the other cats and the experience was not as friendly. lol George wants to shred Dizzy and Paddy turned into a Halloween cat when he saw her and Jimmy is just plain confused. I think he's unsure if Dizzy is a dog or a cat!
P.S. The threesome say thanks for the scritchies Momcat!

THATS SUCH A TOUCHING, HEART WARMING VIDEO AND THATS SO WONDERFUL THAT DIZZY HAS CAPTURED THE HERATS AND FRIENDSHIPS OF HER CAT COMPANIONS.

AND I FOUND THAT WHEN I HAD TOO MANY CAT BEDS THAT PUTTING THEM IN THE UNDERPORCH SHELTER GIVES THE STRAYS A SOFT PLACE TO SLEEP ON.
