I hid the presents, but they still found them!

Every year, I keep the presents in this big, thick canvas bag until I'm ready to wrap everything. This year I bought Howard and Luna a handmade catnip fish from a craft sale (the lady selling them said she grew the catnip herself). Well, I wrapped this in two bags and hid it at the very bottom of the present bag...just to be safe.

Today I wrapped presents (it was my day off, so I figured I might as well do something productive), and do you know what I found? Howard and Luna had gotten to the catnip toy anyway. Somehow they smelled it through the canvas bag and two layers of shopping bags, dug to the bottom of the canvas bag, and chewed a BIG hole in the bags it was wrapped in I wrapped it anyway and put a nice ribbon on it....THEN I locked it in my file cabinet. If those cats manage to find it before Catmas, I'll be very surprised. And I'll rename Howard Houdini.

He he he he!! Thats too funny!! But you know, you got away Lucky!! Had my cats done that, they would have ruined the presents in the process!!

I know. I don't know how they got to the toy without disturbing everything else and making a mess! One of those cat mysteries, I guess...

YOU CAN NEVER HIDE ANYTHING FROM A CAT. WHEN I GET TOYS TO SHARE WITH MY PET TALK FRIENDS I HIDE THEM AS ACREFULLY AS I KNW AND YET THERE THEY ARE ALL SCATTERED ALL OVER, GENERALLY THANKS TO OUR BLLD HOUND CAT TUBSTER PANTHER WHO HAS NEVER HAD GOOD TOYS BEFORE AND IS MAKING THE MOST OF IT!!!
