    Beowulf

    Your Beowulf is a handsome boy indeed!!! I personally think he's very handsome but that could be because he reminds me of my little girl - my blue merle Sheltie. I'm VERY glad he was saved from the Memphis Animal Shelter! Where I live in Mississippi borders Memphis so I know where he came from. I have a Maine Coon cat that came from the Southaven Animal Shelter. Those Shelter boys are special, aren't they? I also have a Sheltie boy that we have from Sheltie rescue. I hope Beowulf's younger brother is doing well. Beowulf obviously chose great parents!!!

    Don't we have a handsome Aussie boy as our DOTD today? Congratulations on your high honor Mr. Beowulf. How admirable that you watched over your little brother during his illness. Such a good boy and helper to the family. The bond between you and brother must be very strong. You are another great example of a shelter doggie, Beowulf. Perhaps someone gave you up because they weren't prepared for your energetic ways. The good news is that you found your forever family at the right moment. Please tell the family to plant some kisses on that gorgeous facie today to celebrate. We wish you all continued happiness!!!

    Beowulf!

    What a great big brother you are to take care of your little brother while he is sick! You are such a sweetie, Beowulf! Your silky coat is beautiful and your eyes are so trusting! Happy Dog of the Day! I hope your little brother is feeling better so you 2 can play all day long!

    What a precious one you are Beowulf, watching over your brother so lovingly, so patiently, so diligently! You truly are a gem of a pup, and your family, so very blessed to have you in their lives. We can only wonder why someone would surrender a doggie as deserving, as precious as you, Beowulf; as has been said, maybe it was unfamiliarity with your breed traits, your need for an active lifestyle. But happily you found your way to your forever home and now those lonesome days languishing in the shelter are but a distant memory; and yes, you do have excellent taste in humans!:

    Congratulations on your much deserved "top dog" honors, sweetheart! I wish for you a fun filled day of celebration and a lifetime of happy, love filled years with your wonderful family!     Beowulf, Aussie! In the poem, Beowulf is the hero and it sounds like you're a hero to your brother and your family! You are magnificent. I like your beautiful coat.
