Well Now. You Can Teach An Old Dog New Tricks

With a little help from some PTers, I'm teaching Dasher how to hold things in his mouth. I'm working on something for Halloween. I still need to figure out how to teach him to accept the items. Right now, I have to pry open his mouth This Easter basket is off the ground. It's just that the handle is so long. Be looking for my Halloween sig by Thursday evening. I'm so proud of my old fella!

I did the right thing by setting you free
But the pain is very deep.
If only I could turn back time, forever, you I'd keep.
    I miss you

I hear you whimper in your sleep
I gently pet you and say, no bad dreams
It will be alright, to my dog as dark as night.

Fur as dark as the night.
    Join me on this flight.
Paws of love that follow me.
In my heart you'll forever be.
    [/SIZE]

How I wish I could hold you near.
Turn back time to make it so.
Hug you close and never let go.

    Dasher you are simply Dashing!!
Our goal in life should be - to be as good a person as our dog thinks we are.

Thank you for the siggy, Michelle!

Great job! I've been doing the same thing this week, trying to teach Bailey to hold one of those plastic Halloween buckets. I like the size - they should be easier to hold than a longer item. Anyway, you're farther along than I. I still have to have my hand under his chin while I tell him to wait. Pretty soon, I hope!
