A very happy ending for 2 shelter dogs!

I just thought this story was worth sharing
    -------------------------------------------

Last week one of my managers had been telling me she wanted a Yorkie puppy. She had been to a pet store and seen the price ($1000+) and didn't want to pay that much.
She asked me if I knew anyone who was selling them. I didn't, but I told her to check rescues & shelters.

So yesterday when I went to work she's like "Guess What?" with a BIG smile on her face I just knew she must have found her dog.
Not only did she find her the little lap dog she'd been wanting, she also found another mixed little girl that they just couldn't live without!

They had went to one shelter and were told about Rainbow. Her mom had been deployed to Iraq so she needed a home. She is a 5 yr old mix breed about Huney's size, and smart as a whip She could do all kinds of tricks and was house and crate trained and got along well with other dogs. Of course Staci (my manager) wasn't really looking for a dog of this size, so she decided to foster her while in search for her perfect lap dog. Well all it took was one night for her to become a failed foster mom

Staci just had to check the other shelter while she was at it and found Guido the pomeranian. She knew it was love at first sight!

So not only one shelter dog was saved, but two!

I told her I needed pictures, so if she brings any I'll make sure to post them.

Sometimes I really love the people I work with!

How wonderful. Kudos to you for directing her towards the shelter.

I think you should get her to join PT!

Great news Anna and I can't wait for pictures. I hope she takes lots! I love the people I work with too. One gal has two shelties, one gal has two labs and I have two poodles. Another co-worker who recently quit, has two pitties. Do you see a pattern here? LOL! I bet you can't guess what our lunchtime conversations revolve around.

I think that's great. You did a great thing telling her to check the shelters.

Please, if your dog is arthritic look into getting it Elk Velvet Antler. Look up my posts on it, PM me, or look it up on a search engine; but please if you love your dog and want it to live many more years consider this option. I've seen so many posts on here about dogs needlessly suffering. I can't make a new post about EVA every time so this plea is going here. EVA also helps with other ailments such as anemia.
