    Self portrait drawing

I don't know if anyone is going to care, but I just felt like posting this, lol. This is my final project from my drawing 1 class over the summer. I spent 20+ hours on it and I was really happy with how it turned out, except my chin is kind of boxy. But other than that I was surprised how well I can draw when I have patience and discipline ... normally I draw fast and hate the way things turn out. Anyway, here it is.

Now I'm stuck with this gigantic picture (it's like 23x40 inches or somewhere around there) and nothing to do with it. I don't want to throw it away but there's no way I'm framing a huge picture of myself!

Perfect idea - give it to your favorite parent/grandparent!

It looks very good - but is your hair REALLY that neat and all in its place? I'm jealous.

Maybe your parents or other relatives would like it framed? Would make a nice gift for them.

    Looks great!

    Really nice!
I agree with maybe giving it as a gift to a family member. I know my mum always loves it when I give her things similar to this. :]

Wow, that is great!!! Good job!!

I'd frame it!! Don't think of it is a big picture of yourself, think of it as a beautiful art piece that you drew yourself and you want to display!!!

Thanks everyone! I appreciate the compliments.

While my parents like it, I don't think they want to hang it up. They do want to keep it though.

NO, it's not!! My hair is really that straight, but it's actually somewhat frizzy and it gets in the way a lot. It's also really, really thick which makes it hard to style - if I curl it, it won't stay, hair clips are usually too small, etc. But when my hair starts thinning when I'm older I'll be glad I was born with thick hair

That's a great drawing Sarah. It should be framed.
