    Duncan

It is with a heavy heart that I have to announce the passing of our lovely Duncan today.

He didn't seem his normal self when I fed him this morning and although he appeared to have enjoyed the grass and dandelions I gave him earlier, I found him dead when I went to tuck him in this evening I guess 9 is a good age for a bunny

RIP little man. The garden will be a whole lot emptier without you

I am so sorry about Duncan; nine is a good age for a rabbit. Was he the rabbit in your signature?

Rest in peace little bunny boy. Sending hugs to your mom, now you go enjoy the fields of parsley and clover at the Rainbow Bridge, and when the sky *thumps* with thunder, your momma will know that's you, saying hello!

He was so cute. It looks like he's a dutch; I have a 3 y/o dutch rabbit.

Thanks guys - he certainly was an adorable little bunny.

I took the dogs out for a long walk last night while hubby buried Duncan. He wrapped him in my old t-shirt that he had been using as a "blankie", put a few of his toys in with him and picked him some dandelion leaves for the journey. His hutch is standing clean and horribly empty in the garden

Be happy at the Bridge my little friend, say hi to the other RB furkids for me. I will miss our daily chats

    Thank you all once again.

I have decided to offer Duncan's hutch and bits and pieces to the local rabbit rescue. My initial thought was to give it to my neighbours but to be honest it would break my heart to see their rabbits still being neglected despite giving them everything they need (except competent owners!!!)

I did have a friendly word to try to point them in the right direction but as far as I can see they have done diddly-squat

When I speak to the rescue people I will ask them to have a look next door when they collect my stuff (I may suggest they "accidently" knock on their door by mistake.....)
