[Not my dog; posting for someone else]
Last night Titan passed away. He was 9 years old. He had cancer apparently. cancer that wasn't seen at his yearly check up last month. He was his normally goofy self all day yesterday. we took him out to go pee last night before bed and he just laid down in the grass and wouldn't get up. my dad and I took him to the animal hospital down the street. They took him right away, but he crashed just as fast. We were talking to the doctor about surgery when he crashed and we had to let him go then. he died in our arms.
He was hemorrhaging in his abdomen and had fluid around his heart. Up till last night, he's always been a perfectly healthy dog. We never saw it coming. Our other dog, Bailey, she's a Jack Russell, keeps looking for Titan. She keeps walking in and out of Titan's big kennel but he's not there. My family is a wreck. He was a big oaf. Total goof ball, but the best dog. Just thought I'd share about Titan. He was an amazing dog.
Absolutely loved Frisbee. He was extremely protective of me and the other dog Bailey. He loved to crawl into bed with you, just to kick you out and take over the warm blankets. He despised squirrels but feared turkeys. He was an avid snake charmer as he would like to think, but the nice graveyard in the back proves otherwise. He loved everyone, especially anyone who wanted to go for a walk. he loved to go off the leash in the woods and do full out wild sprints around the trees, just to roll into the dirt to relax. He hated baths. So much that once you gave him one, he was notorious for pushing or pulling you into the dirty water, then he'd proceed to roll in the fresh mud. Titan would play Frisbee all day every day if someone was there to throw it. He was content sleeping anywhere cool, even if it meant sleeping under your feet at the computer desk. He was a complete bed hog and hated anything that squeaked. He was a big dog, but you couldn't make him believe it, he thought he was just as much of a lap dog as Bailey. He lived 9 completely full years. I wish it was longer. Rest in peace pal, you were the best.
