We'z got kumpanie fur a week - Miz Cali's Mom & Dad (Unka Pat & Miz Joan) are onna
week'z vacation atta shore - Cali's stayin atta Ranch wiff us.
ANNND, We gotta visit Cali's Howze twicet a day to give da Kat, "B.C." (Basement Cat)
(but he moved outta da basement YEARS ago! ) his High Blood Pressure Pill,
fluff his Sandy Box, shake down his Krunchies, and give da Kid sum Kuddles!

Last / First nite musta gone OK - Dad wuz onlee inside a few minnitz.

We showed up fur his "Brunch Pill" this morning, grabbed da newz paper,
and Dad went in ta DO da Kat.

Gone fur-ever ... kame out an let da three of us outta da Bus -
sed "STAY KLOSE to da Howze! (I can't find da KAT!)"

Dad goze back inside ... we kan see his head *poppin up* in alla windowz ...
After a short eternity; Dad comes thru da garage an Hollerz fur HELP! "CINDER!"

"Inside, pleeze ... *FIND* BC da Kat!"

GUD GRIEF, Dad! He'z a lil ole mostly blind kitty - HOW can ya LOOSE him!?
"HUSH, Smart Mouth! Just FIND him - and don't *chaze* him!"

We *scanned* da Basement --- lost cause --- BC's a pretty Grey Tiger -
like wearin a Cameo Koat ... he can disappear ANYwhere!
HEY! Krunchies down here onna floor!

"Get OUTTA his Krunchies ... just FIND him!"

He's not down here ... I'm goin uppiestairs. <skamper> <skamper> <skamper> <BUMP>
(Spring-loaded door toppa da stairs - wiffa door stopper to keep it open 6" -
I got da hang a dat YEARS ago!)

I'd <swept> da Kitchen, Dinin Room an half da Livin Room affore Dad got up da stairs.
Moved into da Master Bunkroom ... "HI, BC!! In your Usual Spot, I see!" (unner da Big Bed -
down by da pillow end.) "Temp Dad's lookin fur ya! Don't panic ... I'll jest LAY here an *point*."

"HEY! You're supposed to be LOOKIN fur da KAT -not nappin onna rug!"
<slaps leg> "C'mone - start LOOKIN! ... Let'z check da Basement again."

Fur da Luvva ... gotta *humor* him - I kan't pop da lid onna Krunchie Kan at home ...
OK, oh fearless Leader ... WHERE ya want me to *search*?

We did da Basement again ... then back up to allua chairz under da tables,
unner the table wiffa "skirt" ... I wandered back inna Bunkroom ...
*Peek* unner da bed skirt ... "HI, BC - jest me, Cinners, again.
Wuld ya mind *trottin* out into da Livin room?"

"HEY, Mutt! FIND da KAT, pleeze - nap later!"

*Grrrrr!* He kan be soooo *s*l*o*w* at tymes!
I gave a half-ar$ed *trott* around da furst floor an *flopped* inna Livin room.
I kan watch fur a Kat Escape frum here.

"Pleeze - FIND da Kat! ~ GO! ~ SEARCH!"

READ MY LIPZ! --- I *FOUND* da Kat ... I'z *POINTED* to him three tymes!
He AIN't gonna like it iffin I pick him up an Deliver him!
FOLLOW ME!! --- LOOK unner da BigBed!
I went back inna Bunkroom an lay down almost UNDER da bed spread ...
wuz almost rubbin Nozes wiffa poor Kat.

I hear footprintz behind me ...
da bed spread *lifts* ... "What are ya looking at?? Where's da KAT?"

GOOD GRIEF! And they let you Drive da Bus onna highways?
I'z LOOKIN rite at da lil Grey KAT you'ze been chazin fur over an hour!
Name's "BC" ... da ONLEE wun dat lives here ... gimmie a Krayon - I'll draw an Arrow onna rug!

Dunno WHAT rung da <bell> ... but Dad thunk "Wonder IF ...?"
He *punched* da uppystairs door button ...
I wuz OUTTA da garage affore da door wuz up a foot!

Smoke sez day ALL saw me *dash* out an head up towards da frunt door ...
Then I hears da dang door *CLOSIN* back down!
OMG! Don't wann get locked OUT!

I *made it* back into da garage - ALMOST got my Tail <squisshed> inna door.

he alluz feared he'd get dropped off in his ole BunkRoom inna korner uvva Basement -
eben though that hadn't been where he slept fur over 2 years ...

Sooo, Bowz alluz *hopped* outta da Bus an RAN outta da garage an *bee-bopped*
up to da frunt door - after a sometimes NOT-so-Brief dee-tour around da Ranch.
I used ta go wiff him - just ta keep a watchful eyeball on him!
Dad & SmokeMutts would go up da INside stairs an meet us atta frunt door.

SmokeMuttz, bein da GUD Child inna Fambly, alluz ran out ta powder his noze,
then dashed back inna garage & basement to follow Dad uppystairs.
Cali likes ta stick klose to folks who pass treets, so she hangs wiff Dad, too.

So Dad figgered I wuz doin a poddy call & frunt yard inspekshun; thunk nuffin
about were WAS I.
I heard da Big Door commin down - beet-feet back inna garage azza Door kame down <klunk>!
DINT make it to da basement door in tyme!
So der I wuz - *TRAPPED* inna Garage wiffa Bus, a Traktor, anna Grass Eater! NUTZ!
