Ok.... help me decide on Cam's birthday gift :)

Hey guys. Cam's birthday is in two weeks. Since I am the designer of the family, of COURSE I had to get Cameron his very own chair

    Here's what I'm getting him:
    Pottery Barn Chair

I had bought a cheaper version from a local store and returned it because there was already a hole in it. This one is worth every penny because it also is a slip cover that can be washed.

Sooooo..... help me decide which color!

    Green Gingham
    Blue ginham
    Red twill
    or
    Blue denim

Oh.... I'm gonna order it at the "local" store - 45 minutes away, so I need to decide today or tomorrow so I can order the embroidery and then hubby and I can pick it up sometime early next week. Hubby wants to make getting the chair a "date" since we sorely need the time alone together. And the area the store is in is where we met for our first date I sure wish the same restaurant we met in was still open or we'd have dinner there too.

And of course, some recent photos of the soon-to-be-birthday-boy.

We went to a baby shower last weekend and Ashley guessed how many candies were in this bottle. Cameron was VERY excited to see his mommy win such a big bottle! LOL

He loooooves his Nicki. She on the other hand does not think he's as wonderful

Hey Nicki, can I come out and play with you?

No! Please stay inside and let me be!

Annndddd.... I've been PMed a dozen times with requests for duckie photos. they are HARD to get because the little dude is on the run and won't stay still with duckie. These are the best I could get

    I vote for Denim.

    Kim,

I cannot believe how BIG he's gotten!!!

Pottery Barn?? That place is expensive!!! My kid had a gift card to that place for $25. The only thing she could buy with it was a cystal vase.

Donna, believe it or not, that chair isn't expensive compared to others I've seen. The one from Babies R Us was the same price and junky looking. I considered making one on my own, but the foam from the fabric shop cost as much as the chair, already pre-cut

Ashley just came home and saw me looking at the Pottery Barn website... she agrees with me as to which color I liked best and suggested red, which I hadn't really considered before (so I added it to the list) I personally am a red person so my heart is screaming RED! and it would look nice in the livingroom whereas the blue denim and blue gingham would not.

I love the denim one...... although some spills may be more evident in a dark fabric, as well as in light ones...... I´m not too fond of gingham pattern.....

the red is also pretty...... would it be too much hassle to custom make the slip??.......I mean in another pattern that allowed the blending of certain har to remove stains and still be nice colored......

Stains are NOT a problem. I can spray it with the stain blocker at work for free. That stuff works wonders.

I guess I should say I have had a long hatred of all things denim. I own ONE pair of jeans and thats only because I had a certain "incident" last year in the car and stopped at Walmart to buy a change of clothes and the jeans were the only thing that fit. I will only consider the denim if everyone seems to think its the bestest of all colors

Ok, the family voted and everyone loved the same color. Everyone also vetoed the denim - they thought it looked too casual.

So what color is Cameron's birthday present? RED! and to think I hadn't really seriously considered the color until Ashley mentioned she liked it I was leaning towards the green gingham!

I like the red too. I think it will compliment the kitties' fur when they choose to nap on it (you know that's gotta happen! )
