The dogs were out in the horse pasture with me, and my sister was calling for Maggie to come to the house for a bath. Maggie would not go to my sister, and I hadn't seen her for a while so I went to look at her. I heard her whinning in the woods so I went to see what was wrong. She found some sort of animal "house" in a rock pile in the woods. Autumn went over to her to investigate. They were both trying to stick there heads in a hole to see what was in there. I wanted to get both dogs away, because I wasn't sure what kind of animal was in it. My sister only had one leash with her, and neither of the dogs had their collars on.I put one end of it around Autumn and the other around Maggie. I started to walk them away when they pulled back to the hole. Autumn wanted Maggies head out of the hole, so she went after her. Not exactly sure what all happend, because it happend so fast, but I soon had Autumn but the neck and was trying to pull her off of Maggie. Even though Autumn is a lot smaller than Mag's she was dominating. I picked Autumn up, and she had a hold of Maggies neck, I yelled at her and she let go. I set her on the ground and she went back for more!! I picked her up again, and she was still growling and Mag's. I was so mad at her, she is the sweetest dog I've ever met, I'm not sure what got into her.
No hard feelings between them though, they are already taking a nap together.
Pointless..but I just thought I would share.
