    Update On Starr

Hi, I just thought that I'd give you an update on Starr. He's doing much better and hasn't had an accident since Sat. April 14th. I recently started giving him 5mg of Pepcid AC at night and this seems to be helping his tummy problems. He's also still on one 5mg pred tablet a day and I give this to him in the morning and he's still on the Hills Z/D diet. His stools are what I'd consider soft tootsie rolls. Well formed but still a little bit on the soft side.

I took him to his new vet today for a recheck and he's gained 1lb since his last appointment. She took a stool sample from him and did a fecal test. I think she said it was normal but I forgot what she said because I also had Storm and Sunny there with me. His fur is much softer now and he looks much healthier too. He has more energy and has been trying to play with Sunny and Ziggy. He'll probably always have to be on pred but hopefully I'll be able to wean him down to much smaller dose. Thanks for reading.

Yay! Glad to hear it! I tried to catch Dr Boltz or Bryce before I left today o ask how it went but they were both busy. It was nice to see you and Starr again, and to meet Storm and Sunny.

    Thank you Wolf_Q!

I'm so glad to hear that Starr's health problems might be ending (or at least manageable). Head scritches to the little guy.

That IS good news, KAK. Will you please give little Starr a special hug from me as he has always had a special little place in my heart since he was a kitten? Thank you : For Starr (((((XXX)))))

Thanks everyone. His fecal test was negative so no worries there either. I gave him his monthly vitamin B 12 shot yesterday morning and he was running around like a white tornado and knocking everything down in his path. It's great to see how active he's become. TopCat3, lots of hugs are coming his way and I'll let him know that they're from you.
