Just laugh----doesn't do any good to cry

Julie Andrews turns 69 -To commemorate her 69th birthday on
actress/vocalist, Julie Andrews made a special appearance at
Manhattan's Radio City Music Hall for the benefit of the AARP.
One of the musical numbers she performed was "My Favorite Things" from
the legendary movie, "Sound Of Music".
Here are the lyrics she used:

Maalox and nose drops and needles for knitting,
Walkers and handrails and new dental fittings,
Bundles of magazines tied up in string,
These are a few of my favorite things.
Cadillac's and cataracts, and hearing aids and glasses,
Polident and Fixodent and false teeth in glasses,
Pacemakers, golf carts and porches with swings,
These are a few of my favorite things.

When the pipes leak,
When the bones creak,
When the knees go bad,
I simply remember my favorite things,
And then I don't feel so bad.

Hot tea and crumpets and corn pads for bunions,
No spicy hot food or food cooked with onions,

I adore her. I am so glad she is finally able to sing again. After all that time she went not being able to sing at all... that must have been torture for her. I have always loved her and still do. She just seems to get more beautiful with Age.

LOL that reminds me of a song my friend and I made up when we were teenagers. We were both sick over march break with Strep Throat and BOY were we ILL. So in our bed ridden boredom we made up new lyrics to Michael Jacksons "Bad" but instead of Bad it was called Sick. LOL I still remember them to this day and we always laugh about it.

Yep, but Julie was really great, I don't know how many times I watched The Sound of Music....even when my kids watched it...I did to....lol (yep...I'm just a big kid sometimes).
