    What Breed is My Kitty?

    Hi!

My kitty Sophia looks different than my others. She has oval shaped eyes and really long front arms. She is extremely relaxed and affectionate. In fact, she was a stray who simply walked into my house one day while the door was open (all skin and bones! never saw her before!) and promptly began eating. Got her fill then went into the living room and sprawled out and went to sleep like she owned the place. No fear, no shyness at all. She is brown tabby and tortoiseshell in color.

Anyway this is her, any clues? Thank you!

color wise she looks to be a torbie as for type of kitty she looks to be a DSH (domestic shorthair).

Thank you. I was wondering if she was something different since her arms are abnormally long and her eyes are differently shaped than a normal cat's.

Well the thing with DSH is it isn't actually a breed. It is what your standard house cat is. There are multiple breeds in each and therefor they don't all look the same. The extra long legs is most likely just a trait of your of the many breeds that make your kitty.

I was hoping to find some definite breed in there somewhere that she has mixed in. She is so different from all the DSH's I have, and I have been searching online to find a breed that has long legs as a characteristic. Sometimes she almost looks siamese, as when she looks straight at you, her eyes kind of look crossed.

    Thanks very much!

i AGREE she looks a lot like a tortie

Has she got long ears or long tail
A pet is for life not for christmas

If you BUY you give an animal a home, if you ADOPT/REHOME you give an animal a life
