    Playing with my new toy...pics

Random pics from my new camera. Please bear in mind that I don't really have a clue what I'm doing with it yet, but there's no better way to learn than snapping away!

My Valentine's flowers...first time in 10 years Stuart has done anything for v-day!

Close up of the only rose in the arrangement. I'm a little suprised that he remembered that I don't like full rose bouquets!

Beau's first portrait. For those that don't go to the cat side, Beau is my senior citizen resident. He arrived in June 2006.

He'd kill me for this, but he never reads this board! My hubby lounging about after dinner tonight, before he went back to work!

I haven't got home in time to try it outside yet or get any action shots of the dogs. Still gets dark way too early.

I know you'll enjoy the new camera and that means we get to enjoy more pictures!

Sounds like the hubby earned some points for not only getting flowers, hey once in ten years isn't bad , but remembering to only add a single rose.

Beau looks quite handsome in his portrait.

You're right about the camera, the only way to get use to it is to shoot with it. Have fun!

LOL, well, I have got flowers more than once. Stuart just generally doesn't like to do things that are expected! He tends to ignore any kind of holiday or occasion, but he does sometimes send flowers or do other things for no apparent reason.

I did that--boring! It's huge too! I bought a DVD version of the manual that was much more interesing and helpful.

Stuart would think something was horribly wrong if I didn't pick on him a little bit! You should have heard my mother! She decided there was "hope for all mankind", based soley on the fact that Stuart bought flowers!!

    Tamara,

Your photos are awesome - forget the manual, use your instincts and curiosity Nikons have become such powerful computers - just play with the menu options and you will have a ton of fun and surprises

LOL at Stuart (great pic, by the way ) must be a guy thing ... my hubby gives me gifts when he sees something he knows I would want or like - doesn't have to be a holiday cuz every day is special I kinda like that about him - he's predictably unpredictable and that's a good thing

Tell Stuart we all think he's got great taste and watch him blush (while trying to ignore the comment, of course )

Well done girl - looks like you had a great Valentines Day - just the way it should be
