    The Monks of New Skete

Has anybody ever read their dog training books?

If so, what did you think of them?
I love Fenway, JoJo, Olivia and Nonnie!

I read them a long time ago. Just like any other dog training books; some of their ideas bordered on brilliance and others were just plain silly.
To train a dog you have to think like a dog!

LOVE THE MONKS- I use to deal with them all the time, have been there countless times, and most "programs" I have found to work. At the time, it was really the first time the concept of a working dog " to be your best friend" was a new concept. Now its more common place but we have grown in the dog world.
Its an amazing place- I enjoyed every moment of it..

alex was my first dog, and so i went off to the library to research dog training. the monks of new skete were the first book i read, so most of my dog training philosophy was set by them. i'm not sure if i would raise another dog with all of their methods, but today, alex the wonder dog is a wonderful mostly well behaved dog.
