i am in love with my dog.... she is my baby.. she thinks im mommie.. but my friend thinks it's wierd that im too attached! is it wierd too be attached to my dog?

No it is not weird! You will find many people here who are attached to their dogs the same way you are. Pet Talk is a place where animal lovers can unite in their love of their pets! Welcome but beware.... it is very addictive!

If it's weird to be too attached, then I'm weird!!!!

Sometimes I look at Duncan and I love him so much I can hardly stand it!!!!! I want to kiss him and squeeze him and love him all the time!!! He's a boy though so he will let me hug him for a few minutes and only if no one is looking!!!

I don't think you are being weird. I have heard of many things/habits/addictions that are far weirder than being attached to your dog.

I love Drake so terribly much. He is my baby boy! I take him everywhere with me, spend so much time with him, shower him with love, treats, and toys, and just love him to pieces. My husband is just as attached and is going through withdrawls! He calls Draker everyday and leaves him messages on the answering machine.

You are so not weird! I'm 11 years old and i have 5 dogs. I love them all the time. I kiss them and hug em all that kinda stuff. And whatever you friend says just foget it

I mean I've nevr thought I was weird. Well love your animals!!!

I can't help but give Presley kisses and hugs... I don't know what it is about her that im so attached to.. She just eats all the attention up as well... I love her so much and i really couldn't imagin my life without her now....

You are definitely NOT crazy!!! I had Sammie for only 2 months and I went away for the weekend to a wedding...I missed her at night the 1st day (Friday) and couldn't sleep that well (she sleeps with me in bed). I was excited Sunday morning cause I knew I would see her later that day. I almost shortened my trip Memorial Day weekend cause I didn't want to be away from her but I couldn't change my airline ticket. My girls (Sammie & Maggie) are my kids!!! :-)

I don't think you are crazy at all... I do the same thing. My dog, Chika, is just less than a year old and she is my everything. I always tell her to give me "kiss kiss" and "hug hug" and all those other stuff. My roomate adn her boyfriend thought I was crazy giving Chika the baby talk all the time. But after my trip from Spring Break, they understood why. IF you don't give her that baby talk, she wouldn't feel wanted or understand. There is always a special bond between Family.

No way. My friends pick on me about my attachment with my Tango. I dont care what they think. Animals provide so much unconditional love and support, I don't understand why everyone is not inlove with their dog. No, you do your thing. I love to hear when people are inlove with their pets, pets deserve it for sure.
