    Anvik learns to skijor

Anvik went skijoring for the first time today. He was great! I think he may be my new skijor racing buddy. Raven was my race dog but she has never recovered psychologically from a big crash we took a couple years ago. Anvik has his own psych issues, but they don't show up in harness!

"Run that by me again? What am I supposed to do? What are those things are your feet? Where are the lead dogs??"

"Oh, I am the lead dog! Cool!!"

"Did I do good? Did I, Mom? Did I??"

"This skijoring stuff is fun. Is that a treat bag? Wow! I get treats too!!"

"I like these truck rides that don't end up at the vet clinic."

What a happy dog! I just love this pic. You just want to grab him and give him a big hug. He's the one you call mama's boy, right? That's why he's happy, because he was with you.

I did the right thing by setting you free
But the pain is very deep.
If only I could turn back time, forever, you I'd keep.
    I miss you

I hear you whimper in your sleep
I gently pet you and say, no bad dreams
It will be alright, to my dog as dark as night.

Fur as dark as the night.
    Join me on this flight.
Paws of love that follow me.
In my heart you'll forever be.

How I wish I could hold you near.
Turn back time to make it so.
Hug you close and never let go.

Love the pics! The one of you two together and the "Did I do good mom?" one especially. He looks like a really happy dog. Skijoring sounds like fun, I'd like to try it sometime.

He is a complete momma's boy! I actually wasn't sure he'd skijor. I thought he might want to stay right beside me!

Those pictures are beautiful, Tamara. Anvik looks like such a happy guy. He's a beautiful dog. I love the one of he and you together and the one right after that. Looks like he's smiling.

Go Anvik! Love the pictures of you two together and of his big sweet smile. He's such a handsome boy, and it's obvious how he adores you.

    Tamara,

I have still not learnt my lesson when seeing pics of Anvik - DO NOT DRINK ANYTHING whilst looking.

I think he might be another of my favourites - of course after Heyoka .....
