New Camera... Aviary photos and more

I got a new camera. An Olympus Evolt E-500... which I'm in love with!! I went to the Aviary and took some pictures along with other ones. I'm sorry they aren't the greatest. I'm still learning how to use this camera. I used my 40-150 mm lense for the bird pictures and most of them are on Aperature mode. Some of you photography people are welcome to tell me what I can do better! BTW I went a little picture nuts.

This little guy was so cute. We would whistle at him and he'd whistle back.

    Black Swan

This was a Ground Hornbill. He would follow us and he was kind of creepy! lol

    More coming...

Beautiful pictures! The flamingo ones were my favourites, but they're all wonderful.

Nice pictures and very good start! Animals are also one of my favorite subjects to try a new camera

You should try to play with the exposure mode. I don't know this camera specifically but you probably have the choice between evaluative, spot or central measurement. Take the same pics and change this parameter only, it will give you a good idea of which one the best is when you have important light differences (for instance in Molly's picture and with the green bird).

Those are wonderful pictures. I got the same camera for Christmas and I'm working out trying to figure it out as well. Keep taking those great pictures.
