Please pray for Josh Update 12/15

Tuesday I took Josh to the vet because he wasn't acting right and didn't want to eat and was throwing up and had diarrhea. Josh is my oldest cat now around 14 going on 15. he is one of my diabetics( not on insulin at the moment) and was recently diagnosed with an enlarged heart. I was worried that it was his heart so I took him on Tuesday. The vet said his heart sounded ok that it probably was inflammatory bowel and gave him a shot and sent me home with meds. Weell i hadn't seen him eat at all or drink( except a little drink this am) and he was still thrwoing up and had the liquid poop so I took him back and knew they would admit him for tests which they did. Now I am waiting to hear fromt he vet. Today is her surgery day so I have no idea when i will hear from her and I am so worried about him. Please send him psotive healing thoughts and pray that he gets better.

I talked to the vet this morning and she said that Josh is on fluids and that the blood work was normal and she did an xray that shows he has alot of gas . She thinks he is suffering from a bout of irritable bowel. he hasn't thrown up there but hasn't eaten either. She wants me to pick him up for the night and see if I can get him to eat anything at home. I will take him back in the morning. I will let you know how he does if i can get to a computer tomorrow. I am on Christmas break right now fromw work. Thanks so much for all your prayers, keep them coming. Josh and I appreciate each and everyone!

Oh Melissa, I am so sorry to read that your precious Josh is not feeling well.

When my Ebony had similar symptoms they put him on I/D (which, of course, he didn't like) and Pepcid. This worked well. Good luck with your baby.
