My son has just been diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy and said that all he wants is his "very own kitten to love". My whole family has fallen in love with these two brothers, but we have no way to get them from MD to MI. If any of you out there around MD will be taking a trip up towards MI, and would be willing to transport these guys, let me know. With all of espen's Dr. bills piling up, we can afford to pay the adoption fee, but not extra to get them here. Thanks to all who read this!

This might be doable via the I-95 rescue railroad that runs every or almost every weekend... You should probably post to the foster mom at HP to make sure she still has them, etc.

I just emailed laurie to see if the brothers are still with their FM. Can you tell me about the railroad, please?

I just got word from Laurie that the "normal" brother passed away this morning. They were having trouble maintaining his body temperature and he finally gave up. The little blind boy is still in MD, but I don't think that a 12 hour trip without his brother is wise at this point. I would love to find a pair like this again though....maybe a little closer to home. We were contacted about some part siamese kittens, one is blind and the other has partial sight, but I'm not sure about what kind of medical attention they need...we really can't afford to pay more than an adoption fee at this point with all of our neurologist bills for Espen piling up...I'm just waiting to hear back from MaryChristine. In the meantime, if anyone out there knows of any shelter/foster kittens (hopefully one blind and one seeing...or possibly mildly CH) im Michigan, give me a holler!!

I have 4 cats that are blind or partially blind and the vet bills are no greater than what you pay for any other kitten. The key is to keep an eye on the eye that is blind (because it can cause eye infections once in awhile).

With finding a kitten for you son.
