    Chester Yelled at his Mother!!

I was sitting here minding my own business. Chester walked up and meowed at me. Nothing new there. I ignored him. He meowed louder. I reached down and petted him.
    Meow! Meow! Meow!
I picked him up for a quick hug. He doesn't usually like being hugged but I keep hoping. I put him down.
    Meow! Meow! Meow!!
    'Chester, what do you want?'
    MEOW!!!!
Well that certainly got my attention. I went into the kitchen and found the problem. There it was, in his food bowl...only 4 pieces of dry food left. Near as I can figure, he saw the bottom of his bowl for the first time in his life and it panicked him. He thought he was in immediate danger of starving to death. After filling it (to overflowing, I might add) I watched as he ate four bites then promptly went and took a nap. Poor BABY experienced the first hunger pain in his life or at least since he moved in with me. Bad Mommy again! SIGH!

Storm kept meowing at me today. Every time I go into the kitchen, he thinks that I'm going to give him a cat treat. I only do this after I groom him. I have two food storage containers that lock and seal their dry food. It was almost empty so I opened up a new bag of dry cat food and poured it into the two containers. Storm started eating right out of the container. I kept giving him handfuls of the dry food. He must have eaten about four of them. Their bowl was about half full of food. I guess he wanted the fresh stuff. Sunny has decided that he likes vanilla milkshakes and strawberry slimfast shakes. When he sees these he gets very excited and starts yowling until I give him some.Pepper sees Storm and Sunny begging and he thinks he's missing something so he'll come running over and sniff whatever it happens to be and then look at me like is that all it is and then go on his way.

Well at least Chester yelled. When my cats want to eat, my Siamese mix, Maya Linn comes up to me and gives me a love bite on the nose. Ya gotta love 'em!!

LOL LOL, Connie, how dare you do that, Chester having only 4 pieces of dry food? That is absolutely outrageous! No wonder he was complaining! It must have been a dramatic experience for him.
I love it that he counted the pices and ate just 4, as the last remaining 4 pieces...

Honestly MOFF what would we do without these furkids and their funny ways!!! Probably be bored rigid!!
The other day Ketchum came striding in looking very purposful - plonked himself beside me on the sofa and roared 'miaow' as softly as he could!
'Oh poor Baby what's the matter' enquired a worried Mummy.
    'Miaow he roared again.
Needless to say this continued for some time.
Then I realised he was being very insistant. So I got up to investigate - found Dan lying on the kitchen floor, with the most bored expression on his face.
Then it clicked - yes - food bowls empty (!! Shock * Gasp * Horror!!) and obviously Dan had sent Ketchum in to ask for some food - forgetting how quiet Ketchum is - he should have come himself and done his usual sitting on my knee and shouting into my face!!! Needless to say they both got fed and very like Chester, after three or four mouthfuls Ketchum went for a nap!! I'm sure he gets upset when he just sees the bowl empty!! Even if he's not hungry!
Could Chester and Ketchum be related he he he!!

    Lynne,

It's OBVIOUS you weren't moving quite fast enough for Chester's liking. And 4 measly pieces of food in the dish??? Geesh!!! I guess he told YOU a thing or two. LOL.

Funny stories about Chester and Ketchum
Juni yels only when she wants to play and we don't throw her the ... whatever she wants to play with that time, usually a leaf cut off from my room plants or a piece of vegetable. If yeling doesn't help, she tries biting our tiptoes. IT WORKS!!!
