    A RAT! (pics).

I thought I heard some munching in the shed, this afternoon I saw this rat eating with the sparrows & when I came to take a closer look it ran off into the shed ... where my pigeons go at night.

I need to get rid of this little guy/girl because rats droppings can make my pigeons sick & I can't have that with my birds even tho I would not mine a rat around but I can't because of it's poops and it could carry somthing.

Any tips on how to get rid of this rat? my mom wants to get a cat I would love to have one around but then I would kinda feel sorry for the rat lol.

I was going to try to get White-drop to stay around (Stray cat), I have not seen this cat anywhere this week.Hopefuly I can catch that cat before haloween.

    Here are the pics.

Well, you could set humane traps and then transport the rat to a place that is far from your home. However, if one rat found a way into your shed, others likely will, so you might want to think long term and try to seal up the shed. Although that could be very hard. :\

I guess there is no simple solution.

Aw, he's a cutie! Can you try a humane trap with food in it? I've never been in this situation before, so sorry if I'm not much of a help.

Saddly if there is 1 rat there will (or can) be many more. A cat would be a good idea, but then that would make it an outdoor car & that solves nothing, as cats shouldn't be outdoors, as they kill song birds, dig up gardens, get into fights, get hit by cars & people kill them... I assumed it being an outside cat, because why would you have a cat in a bird cage? hehe

Just be careful if you go the cat route... but traps might be better.. just remember if your going to move the rat, that you don't make it someone eles problem, as thats kinda rude :P

Hope you can find a way to solve the issue.
