Who knew Shelties could swim?!? --- PICS!

Kai started a new exercise program to help him trim some weight off for agility. He's going three times a week and has a BLAST in the water! His vet thinks he might have hip dysplasia too so the swimming is really easy on his bad hip. I started taking Kaedyn too because of his old-man joints.. his instructor says he swims like a pro! This.. from a dog who refused to get his feet wet.

I just got a couple pics from their last session. (Liana also promised to post pics of Mickey if I posted some of my boys.. you owe me pics Liana!! )

    Off they go!

My exhausted boys with their instructor

    Happy Kai!

    ETA:
I've also attached a video of Kaedyn swimming.

Ashley, I am a sucker for wet shelties! How did you know?

It looks like they were enjoying themselves and saying "ha!" at the same time.

Hey, they were born to it! Part fish i'd guess. I love the *exhausted* pic. Makes me want to go swim, myself. Kai and Kaedyn deserve a gold star.

Aw, they look adorable swimming around! I love the pic of them swimming to their instructor - they're as cute as a pair of dolphins! They have an awful lot of fur- does it take long for them to dry?

    HOW CUTE!

Your boys are adorable. I'm in love with them. They seem to have enjoyed themselves. Who doesn't love a wet sheltie?? Great pics!! I love the first one and the "exhausted" one.

I'm so confused. I don't see any hate in their eyes??

Cute pics. It's been way too long.

    *Thanks Ashley*

Thanks for the nice comments guys. My boys are going swimming today and tomorrow again. Kai gets an intense work out four times a week now.. the fat should be burning right off him

LOL!! Kaedyn gives off plenty of hate when we first get him wet. But once he's in, you'd swear he was part Lab!

Kai has the largest coat. He takes about half an hour to get dry enough to go in the car. After we're home (1 hour car ride), it takes another 2-3 hours to completely dry off. So I'd say.. 3.5-5ish hours or so. A dryer will be on my Christmas list this year.
