It really depends on how big the dog is (small dog, small blatter) and
also how much & how often it is fed.

Its not really thier age that determines how many times a day they go potty. Its the amount and quality of the food. How many times a day you feed them. For example.... Raw food usually takes 5 hrs for a dog to digest, Kibble takes 12 hrs. So when you space your food according to your schedule you may see your dog go two to three times a day.Now these figures are based on my Collies from a Breeder/show friend who is studing to be a hemopathy/holistic vet.

For me, realisitically, I think most dogs over the age of 9/10 months probably need to go out at least 5 times per day...
Morning when they wake up, lunch, late afternoon, after dinner, and right before bed.
Some dogs may need to go more often, but that is a reasonable schedule for a young or adult dog.
My dogs are exclusively raw fed, they are adults, and eat once per day in the eveing.
They defecate twice a day anyway, morning and evening.
