Pictures of some flowers in my yard

I've been bad about getting pics of my yard this year. Just a lot going on and I haven't felt up to it, but today I was out taking a few pictures of the dogs after their bath and snapped a few. I thought I'd share them!

    Purple coneflowers

    Bumblebee on some bee balm.

    Rudbeckia surrounding Russian sage.

    Sunflowers

    Two more next post.

Edit: I meant to stick this one up too. A little house finch was sleeping on the hummingbird feeder while it was raining the other day and I got a picture of her.

    That's all, thanks for looking

That is the cutest picture! I love it.

You just reminded me that I will have to plant some purple coneflowers next year.

Those pictures are fantastic Jess. I love the way you have the blanket/ground cover effect in the plantings. Did you grow them from seed or plant alot of plants to achieve it? I, unfortunately, never have much luck with any of those plants down here. They're all just beautiful. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you guys . The finch I think was a youngster. I took the picture through the glass deck door so it is just a tad grainy but it came out pretty good.

Terry I actually started the coneflowers and rudbeckia from seeds! I started them about 4 years ago and they have multiplied! LOL Every year we have new ones come up and gradually have planted them in big bunches here and there. They are so hardy and bloom like crazy. I don't have to do a thing with them really. I even dug up some new shoots this spring and gave them to neighbors.

From seeds? WOW!! That's really impressive! You definitely have a green thumb, Jess. I can't even grow one sunflower here for some reason. I never have luck with them. Keep on posting those great pics. Love them!

Your flowers are just beautiful! I love the purple coneflowers and the black-eyed susans. I think you and I have the same taste in flowers. I plan on posting some soon of my backyard too. But your purple coneflowers are doing so much better than mine. Great, great pictures!
