    my succulent garden

Well, I'd never heard the term "succulent" when referring to plants. But, apparently plants like cactus and the ones in my pot are in the "succulent" group. I've already lost two of the plants I put in this pot, but, the others are thriving. One of them has grown so much I've had to put a stick beside it to help it stand! The ones that died are the pinkish/purplish rock looking one (it's actually called something with the word "rock" in it, but, I don't remember) and the light green tube looking one...it was called baby toes or something. The one that is growing the most obviously is the out of focus tall one in the second picture...it's in the very front, to the right. It's called a chandelier. The one that looks like little stone roses is called a sedum cape blanco. The dark green one with the pointy leaves is an aloe plant...the cactus with the orange ball on top is a grafted cactus. The whitish one with the multiple "leaves" in the back right corner of the second picture is a cocoon plant. And, the whitish one most prominent in the second to last picture is a pachyveria hybrid. Sorry for rambling, I just think these little plants are really cool! Here are the pictures from when I first got it a couple months ago...

Thanks! Don't be jealous, they were only two or three dollars a piece at home depot. And, actually, cactus and succulent plants are different... similar, but, different. I just realized that myself when I was looking up names and pictures! I have a piece of an Arizona cactus, too, that I got this summer. It's not as unique as the succulent plants I have, but, I still think it's purty.

Yeah, especially the chandelier. I need to get pictures of how big it's gotten! I'm trying to think of names for them all. I think Gumby is the only one I have so far, and, that's the whitish one (the pachyveria hybrid).
