I don't know what you mean. Import them from where? To use for what?

Yeah, I figured out that part, but would they just be there after I used them? Since with brushes you actually have to LOAD them into Photoshop.. but I couldn't find a load brush for the patterns..
ETA: I found some nice ones and I was going to use them for some stuff.. even though I don't know how to use them.. . But they looked like they'd make some nice additions to some graphics.

Okay. Find presets manager (it is in the Edit drop down menu on my Photoshop) >Patterns. Click the little arrow at the side for a list of patterns, choose the one you want, the press the load button and exit.

Or, which is easier, click the pattern tool in Toolbox and a menu bar should appear along the top, with the pattern loaded shown in the little thumbnail. If you want to change it click the little arrow at the side, as you would do for brushes, and choose from the drop down menu.
I'm not that good at explaining so I hope that was at least of a little help.

In lots of ways, depending on the effects you want and the patterns you have.

    Just a small example.
Here I have a reddish rock pattern. Top line is a square brush and it's drag line.
Second line is a round brush and it's drag line and third is a heart brush.
Last line is a paper texture pattern.
