tracking mud in the house

Do your dogs actually track mud in the house? I always thought it was just something you see on cartoons, but I hear some people talking about it. My dogs never get that dirty, or on the rare occasion they get feet wiped before coming in. I honestly thought it was just something from cartoons or the movie beethoven, not that people in real life have dogs tracks in the house.

Yes and no.

Frisk... rarely ever. Only when its raining super hard or something. But he doesn't do it for the fun of it.

Ethan... Never. He will do absolutely anything to avoid his paws getting dirty in any way.

Skylar... he did it today.

If its raining just a little bit, he'll find a way to track alot of it in.

Yes and No

Molly: Sometimes. If it's raining outside she might get her feet a little muddy or wet when she goes potty, but won't do it purposely.

Astra: Yes. If we there is some form of water/mud outside, she'll go and play in it. Many times she will come to the door wanting to come in with mud all over her paws and face. Even worse though, is that she is white.

Prince: No. He is so girly and doesn't like to get his little feetsies wet, or dirty

no, but nly because we dont LET my dogs track mud into the house lol they are trained to remain in the doorway for foot cleanings and inspections, Blair is the only real problem though because of his hairy feet, we fixed that by giving him poodle feet(every couple of weeks or so I shave his paws) but if its raining or muddy feet are wiped before they are allowed in the house.

LOL!!! youve obviously have never lived with a Great Dane!! If i turn on the sprinklers out back this is what usually happen:
My dogs take off out the door, get extremly wet from playing in the water than they "just happen" to run through the dirt part of our yard, and if im really lucky they might have a nice roll in the newly romped mud!! Oh what fun!...
i remember one time malakai was around 5 months, i didnt think he'd touch the sprinklers so i left the door open (chloe was in her crate), i come back from the bathroom and there he is, laying on my couch, with his massive puppy paws, (now MUDDY massive puppy paws), and his butt up in the air and starts "roo rooing" at me (if you have a dane you know exactly what a dane "roo roo" is like!) then he takes off out the door cause he knew mum wasnt very happy with him..so i had a muddy couch and huge muddy pawprints through out the living room...*sighs* the joys of puppy hood

All part of owning a dog I guess. Fenway tracks mud & dirt all over the house (and car). Doesn't bother me. I live in a home, not a museum.

Only if it's really wet outside. They all did last night because we actually got rain! Freckles actually jumped on the bed, that was the only part that was really annoying.

Molli does it more then Sam because she digs when it rains. But Sam does, too. If I forget to check there feet before letting them in, they run in with black feet and mud all over!

I voted yes because yes the dogs do track mud in the house, it's me that stops it from being tracked all over the place.

I keep a nice stack of "dog towels" right next to the door. They know that when only one is allowed to enter at a time that they need to stop as soon as they enter & wait to be wiped down.

YES YES YES !!!! We walk her off-leash in the forest in my backyard ( thank heavens for the forest, cuz otherwise she'd NEVER get enough excersize ) So logically, she runs through who-knows-what in there,i stay on a trail i made through there, but she runs through the bush, there is much mud and lots of deer ( and any other animal ) poop in there.( Tell the deer to scoop it (

Yes, but I usually think ahead and have a cloth by the door, so when they want to come in I wipe all the mud off their feet. My parents hate it when they track mud into the house, so if Alaska opens the door when I don't let them in, I immedietly clean the mud off the floor so my parents don't have a cow.
