Take your cat to work day?

Didn't somebody just post something about take your cat to work day? Well, it's TYCTWD for me today.

Seems there's bad mold in our apartment building (no wonder we've all been feeling so crappy since we moved in!) and there going through the buildings cleaning it up. Since they need access to the entire apartment, there was no one room we could lock the snots in so they would be safe, so I brought them to work! In the 14+ years I've been here, I've never brought my kitties here. I've had kitties in the office - once years and years ago when we found a small litter in our storage area, and not too long ago with Eddie - but never my own. So, if imagestation decides to cooperate, here are some quick pics I took as P & CJ explored the place I go everyday to keep them in food.

Mom, I think you need to vacuum/dust under here.

CJ immediately found the litter box, then the food.

Then Peanut decided the hour long commute was a bit too long for her little bladder too.

It's hard to see because she's such a little snot that doesn't like to hold her head still while I take pictures, but there are some dust bunnies caught on her whiskers. CJ had a ton of them too.

Seems the safe place to be in this office is under the bosses plan table.

Here are similar CJ & Eddie pics - both under the same plan table.
    CJ

    Eddie

The boss left, so I closed them in his office. Peanut is a master at finding hiding spots, and I can't be worried about where she is all day. And CJ is a sneaky one. You never know where his is until he comes up on you, so I can't be worried about where he is all day either. They've settled down and are way ready for their morning naps, so maybe.....maybe I can get some work done around here......maybe......?

What an adventure for P & CJ! If you give Peanute a little dustpan and brush whe might do under those cupboards for you. I doubt if CJ would do it, the dist doesn't look like it is bothering him too much.

    OH IM SO JEALOUS!

I would looove to bring T and J to work with me.. but that would be impossible where I work.. they could dart in the warehouse and get run over...

I have to rely on pictures of them to brighten my day..

Looks like they are having fun though... getting in their curious kitty fix!

I would love to bring my babies to work but could you imagine me trying to commute 8 kitties into work. Unfortunately I work in a hospital and cats are strickly forbidden in here....so the best I can do is have their pictures.

If I were to be able to bring them in I think I would take either Abner, Smokey or Vegas because they would be such lap cats, but if I brought in the two little ones, well they would provide me with enough entertainment that my work would not get done....they get into everything.

    Smokey, Mystic, Abner

Consider adopting a special needs pet, they deserve a chance too!

I'd love to take mine in, too, but in a bank with the doors opening all the time, it never would work. They'd run out for sure. I still would love to have some feline companionship at work........

Well, I'm unemployed, but Don Juan was napping on top of my iMac while I applied to jobs on Craigslist.

Here are some updated pics of my two little hard workers.

    Printer's working just fine mom.

Important business meeting in progress. Please do not disturb. (notice CJ winking?)

    Whaaaa....break time is over already?

Whew, she was only kidding, it's still break time.

Yeah, thank goodness for break time.

CJ complained almost the entire commute home. I asked him how he'd like to do it everyday like I have to.

They get to come back with me tomorrow since the work in the apartment wasn't finished today. Now that they have experience, I'll expect much more production out of them tomorrow.

What excellent staff! With all this work experience, they will be able to provide office services to people in other motorhomes when you are travelling. Could turn out to be quite profitable.

Wow! Great! It seems they enjoyed it, and you too! Did they leave some cat hair on every chair?

That's the one that had me rolling on the floor! Talk about a couple of high power execs! LOL! I would love to take my cats and/or dogs to work but I would quickly become unemployed if I did.

Thanks everybody. They're back to exploring again, as if they weren't here yesterday and sniffed out every single corner available.

Going back and looking through the pictures, I have to apologize for the mess in the office. I'll have you know that is NOT my desk and MY office. Mine is much neater without crap laying all over the place. My boss has his own method of madness and I do not mess with it or he wouldn't be able to find anything. I have threatened to clean his office....and the warehouse....but he knows there wouldn't be much left when I got done and the dumpsters would be overflowing, so he keeps putting me off and telling me it doesn't need cleaning. yeah.....right.

Jack meowed the entire ride in again this morning. I keep telling him I completely understand. The commute is not something I'd wish on anyone.
