Bought my daughter a new digi camera for her award!

My daughter has an old Kodak easyshare 7300. She is getting the principal's 4.0 award...she got all A's all year and I am so proud of her. She is taking geometry and accelarated english and history in 8th grade so it wasn't easy courses.

I always have to focus my energy on the demon child so wanted to do something nice for my angel...hehe

I bought her a casio ex-z57. I wanted to buy a canon but for the same feautures they are so much more and this got good reviews. It has a 2.8 " led viewing screen. Of course I will show pictures of the pups after I give it to her next week since I don't have a camera I always borrow hers...hey does this mean I get her old one:?

I hope is okay, initially I was going to buy the kodak c315 for 130.00, then I thought oh for 70 more I can get the casio, now I am thinking well for a little more I can get the canon....

It did get good reviews, I guess I can wait and see how good the pics are and if they aren't good we can change it for the canon.

Wow, I wish my parents would get ME a new camera!! What a wonderful gift, for a gifted daughter...I bet she takes after her mom lol. I hope she loves it!!

Actually I was nothing like my daughter in school..hehe. I think she is bright but I think pretty much every kid could accomplish the same thing if that is their priority, that just happens to be her priority.

Well Canons are a little more expensive, but the quality more than makes up for the extra expense.

Regardless, a new camera is a new camera, and I am sure your daughter will love it!

Yeah I think I will let her decide after she gets it I am sick of the whole shopping thing. The good thing is that it has a huge view screen. I saw some good ratings on eopinions but saw that the outdoor pictures are not that great.

I charged up the batteries and took a few pictures, they look pretty good. The screen is HUGE, its 2.8 inches.
