    Sheltie - the humble breed

I just recently rescued a female sheltie. I am in love with this breed, very humble and very beautiful. Any sheltie owners out there who want to share stories?

I own a Border Collie x Sheltie.. love him to bits. He definitely inherited the Sheltie temperament. They're a great breed.

I have two Shelties. Kai is 3, and Kaedyn is my rescue, somewhere between 6-8 years old. They're such a wonderful breed - so versatile and beautiful!

I am getting a sheltie in the next couple of years -- either a bi-blue or a bi-black. Nice dogs.

We have a member here named Shelteez2 who has two absolutely GORGEOUS shelties (Emily and Clipse). I have sent her a PM to come and share her thoughts (and I shamelessly begged for pictures ) in this thread. Hope we hear from her soon.

Thanks for the heads up Pam

I have two shelties (as Pam already mentioned). A sable girl named Emily who is 9 years old, and a bi-black boy named Clipse who is 6 years old.

I will try and get some new pics up of them as soon as we get home from house sitting.

We would love to hear about your sheltie and see some pics as well.

    *Thanks Ashley*

I grew up with Shelties. My parents owned/bred/trained/showed Shelties. We had Pure Sables.

Riot now we have two tri factored sables with a darker black overlay. I have pictures of them posted in the "introductions" section with my Belgian Tervuren.

They are fabulous little dogs, extremely smart and very loyal. They are however the yippiest cat I have ever seen lmao! (j/k.. they are "cat size" to me because I'm now used to my Belgian lol).

Our pups right now have just turned a year old. We went without Shelties for close to 8 years. it was very hard when the last of our show/kennel's line went. Took a while to get over it.

We had one stud dog named Rory Bruce O'Kinnard - any Shelties buffs i'm sure have heard of the Kinnard Kennel lines...
This is Rory in his prime

He was one handsome boy and he knew it! lol

This was our Brace team for shows Rory and Princess
