It looks to be at least 2.5 gallons, though I could be wrong

No matter how many gallons I would say NO!

Too much stuff for them to hurt their delicate little fins on.

The tank itself looks like an okay size but I'd remove everything inside.. especially the plastic plant.

You can't judge the size of a tank by a picture. I've seen that tank before, it is TINY. I would not get that for a betta. I'd say it's less than a half gallon.

It looks to be like 5 inches by 8 inches, in comparison to my 2.5 I'd call it a 1.5 gallon. Perfect for a female as is. If the desk were empty of all the little pieces and you snapped on a branch from a silk plant where the plastic one is then I'd say go for it for a male. Nothing like an odd design to bring a tank to focus. Maybe you could find a little plastic desk miniature that would be more suitable.

    It's cute, but probably not...
More of something like this would be great
    Good Tank
These 2 would work..(I have my boys in the first ones, and Ariel in the 2nd one)
    Neppie and Sebbie's tank
Ariel's Tank (I have Ariel's tank in the small size. SHE LOVES IT!)
Oh, and in the Neptune and Sebastian's tank, remove the divider!
These are examples of BAD tanks.
Tiny Tank I've seen these in person, and the betta looked miserable.
These alot of people use, but really bettas need 1 gallon at least.
    Tank 2
This doesnt work because it doesnt have a lid. YOU MUST HAVE A LID! Bettas are jumpers.
    Betta kit
    Here's 2 more good ones

I absolutely hate tanks smaller than ten gallons advertised for goldfish. Its cruelty being advertised and it should be banned. People would get mad if you advertised an emaciated dog with a picture of a kennel, but its ok to do so with a fish.

I just found that out recently and it made me feel horrible for keeping my goldfish in one gallons. For a betta though I believe the tank would be ok..?

I would say no, I think the betta would not be confortable in such a smooshed and full tank. A tank with just a plant in the middle would be best.

I agree with pretty much everything else people said. Just remove the little trinkets on the table and replace the plastic plant with a live one. I have the goldfish starter kit for my betta and he absolutely loves it!
