Birds in the bird bath (pics)

I was watching the birds take turns at the bird bath this evening through the glass deck door and decided to try a few pics (the bottom drip tray of those big clay flowerpots work well for a bird bath). The robins and grackles were dominating the bath but the sparrows/finches got in here and there, though I didn't get any pics of them in the bath. Nothing rare and spectacular, but I thought the pics were cute and so decided to share! I took them through the glass door, so they'd probably have been a bit crisper if I had been outside with them but I didn't want to scare them away.

Those are great! I just love them. You've got a really good camera. I'll bet those birds had so much fun playing in the water.

Jess, I love the pics! I would love to watch the birds in the bird bath. You really captured them and made me feel like I was watching them out the window.

Guess what?! My doves are back and nesting again ! How many times do they do this? They started it sometime last year and keep coming back. I think this is the 4th time now. The good thing is that the portable basketball hoop is no longer on the patio with the dogs. Alden cleaned up the patio the other day and wheeled it outside the gate. He left it there because we were going to take it out to my dad's. A couple days go by and I pull into the driveway and right up to the basketball thingy because it is now sitting right in front of my garage and I look up and there she is, Mama Dove, nesting away. I don't know if there are eggs yet because I can't ever catch her out of the nest to look. So of course now I can't get rid of the portable basketball hoop and what really aggravates me is that I can't get my new car in the garage...LOL.

LOL..sorry to get off track! Your pics are great and I wish I had your photography skills.

Would never have guessed through a door had you not said so.
Even the water drops are clear!
    Good camera, and better photographer.
    Thanks for the pictures.
