Your touching story has brought tears to our eyes this morning little man. Not only are you adorable, you have been and still are, the perfect little companion all these years. Anyone can easily feel the love your human has for you. How sad that your original Mom left so early but your new family was there to take you in. It was there that a mutual need was fulfilled. Each of you comforting each other. We're sorry to hear of your latest health issues. It can't be easy for any of you to go through this. We congratulate you on your much deserved honor today as our wonderful little DOTD. We hope you and your family get to celebrate that honor today, as well as the wonderful life you've all had together. As everyone has already stated, this is a teary-eyed tribute to such a wonderful dog!! As I read about "your story", it tugged at my heart so much, bringing back memories of when our last dog got old and her heart caused her demise.

You are so fortunate to have been healthy and well cared for, for so many years....the walks to the woods everyday sound blissful

I will re-read your message and enjoy your photo "today and for days to come".......
it is the most difficult thing in the world watching your beloved pup age, and get frail. Losing sight, hearing and having heart and stroke complications makes it so so sad.......but we will be rooting for you to enjoy many more months of love and happiness.

I am so sorry that I did not post the day you were dog of the day. I have a shih-tzu to and know how special you guys can be. It is great to see how long you have lived. Stay healthy and keep that shiny coat.
