Today while I watched Leonardo take his nap all stretched out on my bed with his head on my pillow, it dawned on me he's not like the other cats. He seems to have no interest in the outside world. He never has sat in the windows drooling over birds. Loud noises outside may make him raise his head and look at me or make him dive under the bed but not peek out the window to see what is sneaking up on us. When the yard is being mowed, he doesn't run from window to window trying to watch. When I have the fans in the windows in the summer he will sit in front of them and sniff the fresh air. Other than that he seems quite content in the house. I wonder if this is because he had no outdoor life before I found him. He was only around 10 days old and only had one eye half open. Maybe he really thinks he is a human and has no interest in birds. He did catch a mouse once, but I think that was an accident. He played it to death. He's been this way for almost 12 years and I just now noticed. On second thought, maybe I'm the weird one!![]()
