    Noise!!!!!!!

I think I have been extremely lucky with the cats who've had me in my life so far. They've all been quiet. Except for this one:

He is SO LOUD!!!!!!!!! Even at night, at 3am all you can hear is Bobbie, all over the @##@$##%!! place!!!!!!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHH, what do I do, I need to sleep!!!!!!!!! I'm tempted to nail his little feet to the balcony, or possibly stick him in the oven over night (I'm kidding everyone, I'm just very tired!!). I've never had a cat who would just... keep... talking... all the time!!!!!!

    AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ahhh, I know what you mean! My Abby is a talker.

How old is he? How long have you had him? Most often they do calm down after a while, after a routine has set in. Your boy is a cutie pie.

I empathize! My Mishi is my singing cat, although once I have gone to bed, for the most part he remains quiet. Sometimes he talks in his sleep - it's funny and cute. I just wish I knew what he was trying to say!

well, we've had him and his pal for about a month and a hlaf now, and they were usually quiet at night, usually, but Bobbie has, in the last few weeks, really started to get loud, especially at night. As for routine, it's disrupted, because I started working nights. Oh, and he's 10 months old now

catnapper: trust me, his cuteness is all that is saving him from becoming a rug

Aww... with all the change he's had in the past month, no wonder! You just got him, then change your work schedule. Poor baby is all mixed up.

I went away for two days for work. My daughter sad Abby screamed her head off the entire time. When she was spayed, she "visited" another PT member before and after the surgery (she lived close to the vet, and offered to babysit Abby before I could get her back.) And this person said Abby was a "screaming mee-mee" LOL. My girl made her opinion known! Now that ?I'm back home, Abby hasn't spoken much, but boy can she when things are not according to her schedule!

Is he neutered or is he going out prowling for a fight with other neighborhood toms?

    Elminster,

My Munchkin, Shortie is a talker too. After I turn out the lights, she wanders around the apartment yowling for me.

Is Bobbie deaf by chance? If not, maybe it's time to get him all fired up with an interactive play time every night before you go to bed. Cat Dancers are terrific for tiring out cats, as are feather wands, and laser pointers. Be very careful not to point the beam into eyes! Turbo Scratchers are toys that they expend a lot of energy with as well, but remove the ball from the track and put it in a drawer before going to bed! Otherwise you'll hear that annoying whizz of the ball all night long.

I too wondered if Bobby was deaf. Deaf cats tend to be talkers.

Nope, he's not deaf, he comes running when I call him. I try to tire him out as much as possible at night, we chase each other and play with toys and things, but, the two of them will only play with me for any length of time. ANyone else and they get bored very quickly. 4 nights a week though, I'm not here.... boooo....
I shall put up with it I think.... He's cute, most of the time, and htat helps a lot

My Burmese Beau isn't a talker like a Siamese, but he has a loud voice when he wants something. He keeps meowing until he gets what he wants, then he is quiet.

    My little talker

I had a cat named BooBoo he was such a little talker. EVERY time you would touch him he would talk. He died in October of 2004. It was very sad I came home to him laying in the sun dead.

He's beautiful. That's all I can say. Sorry his mouth is getting him into trouble. Maybe you are going to have to find a special place for him to sleep that is all his own and is far from you? When our son was little, he was very easily woken, so we used to put our two cats to bed in a special place to sleep. Of course, we have a large house, so finding a room for them was not difficult. They didn't love being "banished," but it did solve the noise problem.
