Does he think he is fooling me?

Lately I've noticed something really odd that Oliver will do when he begs during breakfast and dinner. When I stop feeding him (to eat myself) he will switch sides and beg there instead. To me, it almost seems as he thinks I will belive that he is a different cat and feed it instead since it hasn't gotten anything yet. And whenever I stop feeding him again he will switch sides again and this will happen over and over until I leave the table.

Maybe it's just my imagination all together, but I thought it was pretty funny in any case and wanted to see what other people thought about it!

Please sign my guestbook if you have the time

That is funny!! He sure think he's smart - and I bet it works too!!

When we're having lunch, Fister will occasionally come over - if he can drag himself off our bed - and he expects a piece of ham. If there's shrimps on the table, no matter how fast asleep he is, he'll be there and put his paws on the edge until he gets one!

He wants to make sure you saw him and have another opportunity to feed him, just in case you:
(a)didn't see him the first time
(b)felt moved to give him another bite
(c)fell for the sad kitty face again!

LOL Smart kitty. It works, so he keeps doing it.

If we don't pay attention to Tubby when he begs at the table, he will put his paws up on our legs (as he's standing on the side of our chairs). We call it "bapping." See, he learned real quick that his Daddy can't refuse a bap, so the bapping continues. Peanut just looks at us with the big sad "I'm such a poor starving kitty" eyes. Her Daddy can't refuse those either.

Ann, that's what Casper and Kitty do too! They start begging on left side of me, and when they're finished, they move to the right side. As if I would forget that they got something already

So other cats do it as well! LOL, that truly is funny... I guess the lil buggers are smarter than I thought (smarter than us obviously since we fall for their little tricks )

You mean your cats stay on the floor while you eat???? Edwina gets on the table to check out what we are eating.

(I should be embarrassed to admit that. She doesn't do it when there is company though. )

Yes... they try to fool us.......

Mocha has a special treat dish on top of the fridge (Daddy feed's her cheese there ) and Bonzo sits up there and "pretends" to be Mocha.... He has HIS OWN treat dish elsewhere. It's SO funny because he tries to act like Mocha but,...WELL, let's just say he is not as GRACEFUL as Mocha!
