Dearest Lola, you are gorgeous, absolutely stunning! Your long, fluffy fur looks so soft and has such pretty colors in it, and what a sweet face you have with that partially-outlined pink nose and the lovely big blue eyes! I bet your paw-pads, some bubblegum-colored and some black, are cute and soft, too. And thank you for sharing all those great photos with us. They show off so well not only your beauty but also your industriousness, you taking care of so many important chores in your home. I wish I could reach through the screen and over to Walnut Creek, CA to pet you! I can't, of course, but I know your loving and beloved Purrrson will pet you for me .
And what a delightful Purrrsonality you have! A kind person rescued you after finding you as a lost kitten at the dump, and took you to the Mendocino Coast Humane Society shelter. Your dear Purrrson stopped in and was immediately hooked. You adopted each other, and off you went with her/him to your Purrrmanent home! God bless your terrific rescuer for saving you, the Mendocino Coast Humane Society for sheltering you, and your dear Purrrsons for choosing rescue! You are yet another excellent example of the treasures to be found in rescues.
You are very busy and perform many important tasks, helping your dear Purrrson press laundry, wash windows, work at his/her computer, and practice the sax. Thank you for providing that great photographic documentation of you hard at work there! You have never once hurt her/him, and you never will. You are completely loving, even if you don't like being scraped out from under the bed to visit the vet or hit the road for another vacation. You love each other dearly, don't you. What a wonderful love-filled home you share!
Congratulations, darling Lola, on being chosen today's Cat of the Day! We hope you and your dear Purrrson and all your family and friends are enjoying a fine celebration, full of fun and lovies and all your favorite games and treats.

I meant," said Ipslore bitterly, "what is there in this world that truly makes living worthwhile?"
Death thought about it.
CATS, he said eventually. CATS ARE NICE.
