    jeeze, Blair scare!

my little dog walkers took Ripley, Rusty and Blair for a walk(there were 3 of them, so one dog per kid) well the one kid, I guess tried to tie Blair up at the park, so he unhooked the leash for a second and held his collar, well Blair panicked, nipped him(no damage, just caught the kid off gaurd) and it caused the kid to loosen his grip on Blairs collar, I guess Blair was almost hit by a car when he bolted(Blair is fine, and the driver jumped out of the car to help catch him) the kids had search partys all over trying to find him, so I had to track them all down and let them know that Blair was fine, he just came home. I know how much Blair panics so I am always a little worried about letting anyone else take him, but these kids have experince with Blair so I didnt sweat it. buuut Blair wont be walked by anyone else anymore, the kids are more then wlecome to continue walking my other dogs, just not Blair, his panic attacke just showed that he isnt ready for that yet. quite a scare though!

Oh my! I am so glad Blair is okay. The poor kids probably felt horrible.
Our goal in life should be - to be as good a person as our dog thinks we are.

Thank you for the siggy, Michelle!

Oh my Blair, I am so glad to hear you know your way home but buddy, you have to look BOTH WAYS before crossing fella!

    Whew!

You must have been surprised to see him home with no escorts! Glad all worked out well.

Sugar does the same thing. I was walking her and dropped the leash; no reason, just being a dunce. Off she went home! Scared me, too. Now, I have a leash around my waist and hook that to the plastic handle of the retractable leash so I can't be separated from her. Been doing this since mid February and it is working for us.
