    Boiling Eggs

At this moment.....Slick and Gini are in my kitchen boiling eggs. I suggested the correct way to do it is to boil the eggs until the water is all gone.

They have asked me to leave for a while.......

The Seven Wonders Of The World

THE SEVEN WONDERS OF THE WORLD

A group of students were asked to list what they thought were the present "Seven Wonders of the World." Though there were some disagreements, the following received the most votes:

    1. Egypt's Great Pyramids
    2. Taj Mahal
    3. Grand Canyon
    4. Panama Canal
    5. Empire State Building
    6. St. Peter's Basilica
    7. China's Great Wall

While gathering the votes, the teacher noted that one student had not finished her paper yet. So she asked the girl if she was having trouble with her list. The girl replied, "Yes, a little. I couldn't quite make up my mind because there were so many."

The teacher said, "Well, tell us what you have, and maybe we can help. "The girl hesitated, then read, "I think the 'Seven Wonders of the World' are:

    1. To See

    2. To Hear

    3. To Touch

    4. To Taste

    5. To Feel

    6. To Laugh

    7. And to Love."

The room was so quiet you could have heard a pin drop. The things we overlook as simple and ordinary and that we take for granted are truly wondrous!

......but must sometimes be scraped off walls and ceilings....especially when Sara is around.

At least we know how many PTers it takes to boil eggs.....not just 2, but 3 - 1.

I thought the 8th wonder of the world was eggs being boiled in Sara's kitchen and NOT ending at the ceiling

Well it's Monday, so I guess the eggs must be ready by now. Are they hard enough yet?

This is Slick posting under Gini's name as I'm still at her house. Yes, the eggs turned out just purrrfect...as I like to say they were "Canadian boiled."

Not to drum up the thread again but here's what I did:

To a big pot, add 18 eggs. Cover with cold water, put on a lid, and bring to a boil. Turn heat down and gently boil for about 7-10 min. Removed pot off the heat and let sit for 10 min.

Then, run under cold water to cool down.

Oh yes, and the fresher the eggs, the harder to peel. In that case, all you need to do is peel them under slow running water and voila!
