    Suggestions for scent/tracking games?

I wonder if anyone can help me come up with some good tracking/scent games for Maggie to play. We don't intend to train her for hunting as her breed is intended for, but she seems to get bored with normal games...she does enjoy shake/kill toys, but that's not really a game we can join in on. She does not catch onto retrieving/fetch games at all, and possession games (i.e. tug-of-war) are not for her, since she is very non-possessive, in fact as soon as I grab hold of the toy, she usually drops it, which is not a bad thing, of course.

they way we train the tracking dogs is to drag a hot dog on the ground then send them on the trail to find it at the end of the trail.
work on skipping the hot dog leaving space until the dog is just following the scent of your shoes.
