Dog doing something...unusual

Hi umm well my chihuahua, 4 yrs old, female is doing something that she never use to do. she is not neutred. when i rubb her bot, close to her tail, she would sniff it, and lick it alittle. and she likes to spend time with her self alot now...anyone got any ideas?

I have an idea, get her spayed. She could have an infection in her uterus called pyometria. This could be causing the increased licking and the reason for the smell. It can go undetected for quite a while before they shows signs of being sick, but by then it can be really dangerous. She could also have an issue with her anal glands being impacted. You ought to take her to the vet.
