Basement transformation. . Before and After. .*9*

My mom and dad re-did part of our basement, and I thought they did a GREAT job, so I thought I would share

It took them about 2 or 3 weekends to finish. The walls leaked nad the floors were horrible . .

Wow what an improvement, your parents did a great job. I wish we had basements and attics in Australian houses, they are pretty rare.

Looks good. Not to many basements in Florida.

    It looks great!

We have a full sized basement and right now it is packed full of JUNK! It is partially finished and has great potential but we just never seem to take the time to do anything with it. Seems we always spend our money on something else...lol. *sigh*....someday...lol

I didn't know that. Is there a reason? Too sandy? Too wet? Too windy? I think the US has some areas that typically don't have basements...but, the area I grew up in- the midwest- has both basements and attics more often than not.

    I love your new basement!

    Looks FANTASTIC !!!!

Nobody has a basement here too. Most people have a small cellar, for food and drinks. We have a rather large space there, it consists of 2 large and 1 smaller cellar.
I think it is because our different way for house construction: we use all bricks, no wood; so this would make a basement extrememly expensive

We have a very large open space upstairs though . You could say we have our basement upstairs . There is a large pool table, a tv +sitting corner, soccer table, pc and its table, and there is also a corner where I can do all my ironing!
I miss you enormously Sydney, Maya, Inka & Zazou Be happy there at the Rainbow Bridge
