    What Pet Talk Mode ..

    ..display mode are you using/liking?

linear - (the 'usual' pet talk)..
hybrid - (a line each of every person's post with all full posts shown after below)..
or threaded? - (a line each of every person's post with only post of thread starter's)..

add why if you please, faster downloading? easier to read? only care about the thread starter's post(s) and post right away? etcetera..

90% of time, I hung around here via my little great pager, I never saw this mode just until now. (on a computer) but seems linear is still faster than others for me and how I like to what everyone had to say. gosh, it has been since october first!

    well, venture off to more!

note: public poll so everyone can see everyone.

linear, its easier to read. I've tried the other modes but they were all too confusing for me

I'm using linear. I didn't even know there were other ways to view it except for the "widescreen" and "Pet Talk" at the drop down at the bottom of the screen. From the sounds of it I like linear best anyway. I usually read the entire posts - replies and all - if it's interesting enough

  4. Im with .Sarah. i didnt know there was other options either.

I'm using Linear. When I have time, I read all replies in a thread, in fact, it's rare I don't.

I view PT on Default, which is Pet Talk, I think. The reason for that is, that I really dislike the bright blue color in the Widescreen mode.

I have it set to show 40 posts per page.

When people refer to a specific post, we now the possibility to say what number that post is, I like that. (I noticed a while ago that someone was referring to a post on page 6 I think, and another said: Yeah, it's on page 2 on mine).

I like linear. I also have my Forum Skin set on Widescreen.

And for those who haven't figured it out:

Go to Control Panel/Edit options/Thread display mode
    Mine is Linear-Oldest first.
Number of posts-40 posts per page.

or best way, if you're logged in - just above the very first post on right corner - see 'display modes', you have an option to switch into two more different modes.

I wasn't clear in my above post - 'faster for my sidekick' .. also have 40 posts per page.. without signatures so it could be faster but I turn signtures on weekly for a few to enjoy the new ones.

for my pager, there's no difference between pet talk default/widescreen.. but for a computer - I keep pet talk default on! cursoring a mouse over a thread annoys me, can't read what's under the tipbox. in that, I've noticed it was changed from 6-8 lines into one, much better though.
