More Jim Morrison and The Door(s),

Jim Morrison has struck again...


I was asleep in bed when my nephew came to let me know he was at my mom's house, we rideshare so I have to leave a few minutes early to get to my job on time...


I hear him at my front door and say, "Hi Dirt McGirt" (Dirt McGirt is the Edster's nickname-he shows dirt very well, being a white cat and all...) then he says, "come on!" and my mom's back door slams.....

I climb out of bed get ready see that the Edster isn't in the house....before I jump into the shower I look out the door and my nephew lets me know that the Edster is in my mom's house.

The more thought about it, the more puzzled I was....I didn't hear the front door slam, so how did this happen? I did wake up early and went to the garage to put some clothes in the dryer......But the front door is still locked...

I check the windows and everything is closed...


Then I look at the screen door.....


A while back I closed the screen door and locked it.....I had to make a small hole in the screen to stick a finger in to get the latch to open.....

That small hole is now large enough for one very limber, white cat, with a bit of wanderlust to sqqqquuuuuuuueeeezzzzeeeeee thru......

Now the question is how does a fat white cat get halfway up the screen door, make a small hole larger and jump out of the house??

I hear you ask "how, does a fat white cat escape the quiet and safe confines of the Land of the Easily Amused???

Easy!!


He climbs on to the recliner back, which is situated next to the door...

He then stretches about 10 inches to plant his foot on the horizontal cross piece that is situated halfway up the door.

He gets the other foot on the cross piece and manages to put his head, followed by his mischevious little arse thru that small hole, enlarging it just enough where he can climb out....


I am thankful that the Dirt...Ah, the Edster, isn't a bolter.....he's just a cat with tons of curiousity, the ability of a gymnast and a dad that is gonna kill himself if anything ever happens to him...

Now I know what it was like for the Father of the Lizard King, Jim Morrison.

The funny thing is that my 'Jim Morrison' is completely SOBER!!!!!

And you love Edster where Admiral Morrison felt nothing for his Son,who refused to join the Navy.
But he didnt turn down the share of his Sons legacy,I bet.
Cats are very driven to do the things that we least want them to do,like the Late Jim Morrison.

That is so funny! I didn't know that was his nickname. I love the Doors music. I'm glad Dirt is alright and knows to stick around where he has it real good.
