Peggy's friend Rocky will soon be at the Rainbow Bridge

Remember Rocky, the rottie who lives with my mother and Reinhold? I was very worried first after Peggy has moved in, because they had a few arguments in the beginning. Now they are good friends, Rocky would even let Peggy drink from his water, and they are napping together on Rocky's blanket, it's really cute...

Well, today, Reinhold took Rocky to the vet because he has lost weight, and what he has been told was devastating: Rocky's spleen is VERY much enlarged, that's why he's not hungry anymore, and there's no way to save him. Surgery would kill him immedietaly.

At this point, he doesn't seem to suffer, but he's declining quickly, and we have to wait if he makes it to the Bridge alone, or if he needs help. It's very sad.

I already posted about him in dog general, and he's getting PT prayers for a peaceful passing....

I am so sorry and wish Rocky the softest of transition- and some happy hours of playing and cuddling with his kitty friend Peggy.

Thank you Barbara. It's going to be a sad Christmas for us all, but I hope he will still have some happy hours with us.

Its a shame that hes going just as he,and Peggy had worked out such a Beautiful Friendship.

It's always sad when a beloved pet is fading and there is nothing to be done. There is nothing I can say that would help, but I am terribly sorry to hear this, esp. since Peggy & Rocky were getting along so well.
